Wakulla River Bridge Replacement Project

Travel Advisories

For the safety of the workers and the traveling public, the speed limit on US 98 has been reduced to 35 mph for the entire length of the project.  Motorists should use extreme caution when driving through the jobsite, and when accessing the boat ramp adjacent to the bridge.

Wakulla River access will be maintained when practical throughout the project, but boaters should use caution in the construction areas.   All boaters need to stay within the delineated channel.

There will be periodic temporary lane closures between the hours of 7:00am to 7:00pm each day Monday thru Saturday, March 2010 to Oct 2010.  The temporary lane closures will be West Bound US 98 at the Wakulla River Bridge.  These lane closures are for the construction of the new roadway and to safely move equipment throughout the jobsite.  Motorists are to use caution and watch for the flagman.

Traffic is scheduled to be switched to the new bridge in late September 2010, motorists should use caution when driving through the jobsite and watch out for the new routing.
