This $48 million construction project will involve new construction of a two lane 2,500 ft precast segmental bridge fly-over ramp from southbound I-95 to eastbound I-295.  In addition, the I-295 Eastbound Bridge over US 17 and the CSX Railroad will be widened with concrete beams and structural steel girders.  The major roadway work includes concrete pavement with underdrain; retaining walls, including a two stage MSE Wall; asphalt paving, drainage; high-mast lighting and signing.  The original contract time is 900 days for construction. The project started on October 1, 2007.  The current projected completion is fall of 2010. This date will likely change due to delays from weather, hurricanes, and unexpected delays.
