Hurricane Plan
When notice to suspend operations is given by the FDOT in advance of the
storm no lane closures will be allowed.
Monitor the storm as it approaches, and secure all items that may become
airborne.
Make sure all drainage systems are functioning and all erosion control
devices are in place.
When the storm is imminent, remove all unnecessary traffic control devices
barrels, drums, signs, message boards, except those necessary for the safe
passage of traffic.
As the storm hits, monitor the condition of the roadway for washouts and
unsafe conditions when conditions permit.
After the storm has passed, replace all traffic control devices, repair
washouts, replace erosion control devises.
